Sticky Granola

(I created this kind of a glorified rice krispie treat in which all manner of good fiber things can be hidden. It is top notch for trail and traveling food and makes a great on-the-go breakfast. However, it is not low fat nor low sugar.)

First, assemble Your choice of munchies—
Total of about 9 cups of any of the following:
Shredded wheat, any kind, crumbled, Granola, Rolled Oats or 7 grain mix,  Almost any other cereal such as Rice Chex, Rice Krispies, 1 cup of shredded coconut or coconut flakes. Optional: ½ c. Flax seed, blenderized, Psyllium seed powder (high fiber supplement), Sunflower seeds, Walnuts, pecans, sliced almonds or cashews, Raisins or dried cranberries, Chocolate chips or M and Ms
Then:
Boil for about 2 mins:
1 cube of butter (may use part coconut oil)
1 c. sugar
½ c. corn syrup
(you may substitute 1 c. honey for both sugar and corn syrup)
Add 3 cups miniature marshmallows, stir well. Turn heat off, but leave on burner.  Add 2 t. vanilla and 1 t. almond flavor (optional)
Pour the mixture over the munchies and stir well. May be formed into bars or just left in “chunks” and put in baggies.  Great for traveling and trail food.  Can be eaten out of the bag without touching it and getting sticky.
